I good-naturedly replied that I wasn’t very good because I was smaller than most guys my age ( I was only 5’4 at the time). Nathan’s dad just laughed and explained that baseball was a tough sport and that one had be tough to play it competitively.īut I added I wasn’t going to give up on it either even though my body ached at night from throwing the ball all day, sliding around the bases and swinging the bat.
